**Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) Role**
PTAs help in taking care of patients.
They gather information about the treatments and work with the Physical Therapist to change the care if needed. PTAs work with people of all ages, from babies to older adults.
**Main Responsibilities:**
- Help patients stretch and do exercises for specific muscles.
- Follow instructions given by the Physical Therapist.
- Work together with the Physical Therapist to assist patients.
- Talk to families to find the best ways to help patients at home.
- Keep the physical therapy area clean and organized.
- Move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area.
- Do administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and completing paperwork.
- Teach patients techniques, like how to improve their balance.
**Qualifications:**
- 1 year of experience as a PTA - REQUIRED - Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation
- REQUIRED
- PTA license
- REQUIRED
**Certification Requirements:**
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification
**State License Requirements:**
- License required for Missouri, with Compact License allowed.
