Job Description

Blue Sky Bridal is looking for a Video Editor, who will play a critical role in our team by producing and editing wedding and bridal content. Our ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, and has a passion for storytelling. The Video Editor will have the ability to take raw footage and transform it into a video that is effective and engaging for our audience, adhering to our brand and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Editing raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
• Working closely with production teams to understand requirements and create cohesive stories.
• Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques, setting the scenes, adding extras/background effects.
• Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence.
• Consulting with the creative team on the use of music, sound effects and the aesthetic of the video.
• Maintaining an organized video library and help with video equipment operations if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, Cinematography or related field.
• Proven experience as a Video Editor on a variety of digital formats.
• Professional mastery of video editing software such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Adobe Premiere.
• Creative experience in filmmaking and videography.
• Ability to work well in a team and listen effectively to feedback.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and an eye for visual composition.
• Comfortable working within tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
