**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled Mechanical Assemblers for our three diverse assembly departments, with a total of six openings available. These positions are available across two shifts: the first shift operates from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and the second shift runs from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with a 15% shift differential. Successful candidates will work with brakes and clutches used in medical companies, farm equipment, and US government applications, such as surgical robots, gurneys, hospital beds, and MRI machines. **Responsibilities** + Perform assembly tasks in one of the three departments: Magnet Assembly, Gear Motor Assembly, or Medical Assembly. + Utilize hand and power tools to assemble mechanical components. + Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate assembly. + Work with small parts, requiring attention to detail and precision. + Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area. + Wear gloves during assembly to prevent oils and adhesives from contacting hands. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience. + Proficient in using hand tools such as calipers and micrometers. + Experience with power tools and mechanical assembly. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Mechanical inclination and aptitude. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in the industry is a plus. + Ability to work independently and remain on task. + Hobby auto mechanics or medical assemblers seeking a new career path. **Why Work Here?** We offer competitive benefits including Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Plans, along with quarterly bonuses after your first year. As a leader in automation technology, the facility offers a low volume, high product mix environment where attention to detail is crucial. You will be assembling multiple products in a day and are expected to remain clean throughout your shift with the use of gloves during assembly. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $26.45/hr.
