Inspired people, amazing designs, and projects with purpose. **Job Description** As an **I&C Designer** at Olsson, you will support the development of high-quality engineering solutions for data center projects.You'llassistin preparing instrumentation and controls design documents, collaborate with engineers and other disciplines, and help ensure designs meet project requirements and safety standards. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Prepare instrumentation engineering/design deliverables including: + Instrument Index + Instrument Data Sheets + Installation Details + Instrument Location Plans + Wiring Diagrams and Loop Diagrams + Develop control systems (DCS/PLC) data sheets and design documents: + I/O Lists + Process Control Narratives + Graphic Sketches + Cause & Effect Diagrams + Alarm Rationalization + Coordinate with third-party control system vendors and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). + Develop and review P&IDs for various projects. + Select and size I&C components such as valves, thermowells, orifice plates, and relief valves. + Collaborate across disciplines to develop level sketches and ensure design integration. + Review vendor documentation and provide technical recommendations. + Mentor junior engineers and support team development. + Ensure compliance with company and project site safety policies. + Perform other duties as assigned. **You are passionate about:** + Designing innovative and reliable control systems that enhance operational efficiency. + Collaborating across disciplines to create integrated engineering solutions. + Staying current with emerging instrumentation technologies and industry standards. + Mentoring others and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. + Ensuring safety and compliance in every aspect of design and execution. **You bring to the team:** + Experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. + Associate's degree preferred + 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls design, preferably in data center or industrial projects. + Proficiency in engineering design software and tools, including REVIT. + Strong understanding of control systems (DCS/PLC), instrumentation technologies, and industry standards. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external vendors. + A proactive mindset and commitment to delivering solutions that meet technical and safety requirements. **\#LI-DD1** **Additional Information** Olsson is a nationally recognized, employee-owned firm specializing in planning and design, engineering, field services, environmental, and technology.
