**Job Overview** Fairview Health Services is offering competitive paid nurse Internships for ten weeks (Late May-August 2026) with one of our twin cities or surrounding suburban Hospitals in Minnesota. This 2026 summer nurse internship opportunity is for RN nursing students who are currently enrolled in an accredited baccalaureate or entry level masters RN nursing program and will graduate by Dec. 2026 or Sept 2027. Our intern program is tailored to meet your nursing career goals. As a nurse intern, you will be mentored one-on-one with registered nurses, to gain hands-on nursing experience. Our program provides opportunities to enhance your technical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills in an acute care environment. **Application deadline is December 8, 2025** . At any time, you may also check your application status online in your Fairview applicant profile at this link ( . **Summer Nurse Intern Responsibilities** + Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes + Develops an individualized nursing plan of care. + Implements nursing interventions based on the plan of care. + Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes. + Uses communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes. **Required Qualifications** + Enroll, complete, and pass an internship course at a Minnesota based school of nursing + Complete one RN nursing clinical rotation by start date of nurse internship + Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Upon Hire and active till Aug 15, 2026. + Must be graduating with RN degree by Dec 2026 -Sept. 2027 (BSN or entry level Masters) **Preferred Qualifications** + GPA of 3.0 or higher, patient care or related health/senior care work experience + Desire to become a RN with Fairview, upon passing nclex exam **Why become a Nurse Intern at Fairview?** + Real-world experience under the guidance of caring RN mentors + Hands-on experience in a variety of areas, including patient assessment, intervention, and care planning + Opportunities to work with nurses and other health care professionals in a variety of roles and patient care settings + Opportunities to increase self confidence in patient care + Opportunities to explore nursing care in other departments + Preferential status for employment upon graduation + Endless growth opportunities within the Fairview system with generous benefits (including RN student loan repayment) Every effort is made to place interns in the clinical setting that match their career goals, whenever possible. Interns are hired into a specific patient care area for the duration of the summer, which is determined at the time of a job offer. There are a wide variety of hospital patient care units that are hiring interns such as: med surg, cardiac tele, oncology, neuro, ortho, spine, acute rehab, behavioral health, transplant, stepdown units and float pool. Please note the intensive care unit, operating room, emergency department and birth center LD/PP offer a very limited number of interns spots.
