We are seeking a compassionate, responsible individual to provide caregiving and companionship for an elderly client in a private home setting. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and capable of supporting daily routines with warmth and professionalism. This position is located in a large, comfortable family home where the elderly mother and caregiver will reside together. Family members live nearby and visit occasionally but travel frequently for work. The caregiver will be well supported, and time off, personal needs, and vacation time will be coordinated with the family. Key Responsibilities: Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including dressing, grooming, laundry, and meal preparation Accompany client on daily walks and provide transportation to the gym, physical therapy, and occasional doctor appointments Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment Perform light housekeeping, including vacuuming, laundry, dishwashing, and general tidying Provide transportation services, including grocery shopping, errands, and attending medical or wellness appointments Support and implement care plans in coordination with family members and healthcare professionals Offer companionship and emotional support, helping foster a calm, positive, and enriching environment Assist with mobility and safety, including helping the client move around the house and navigating stairs as needed Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or mental health to family or healthcare providers Assist in the care of two cats, including feeding, cleaning the litter box, and vacuuming pet areas Respect the client's privacy and dignity, upholding her rights at all times Preferred Qualifications: Experience in elder care, personal assistance, or related fields Valid driver's license and clean driving record CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Comfortable with pets and light household tasks Kind, trustworthy, and reliable
