Job Title: QA Tester
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Duration: 2 Months (Possible Extension)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Tester with a strong background in agile testing environments and proven expertise in iOS mobile testing. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of relevant software testing experience, including 3 years of iOS mobile testing, along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
The QA Tester will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining various test types—including product, system, unit, load, and volume tests—while collaborating with development and release teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Review and understand the Test Team work plan.
Assist in managing and guiding Test Team processes.
Anticipate, identify, and resolve issues or risks affecting testing activities.
Develop contingency plans for potential issues.
Research problems independently before escalating to leads.
Mentor and assist other testers as needed.
Understand business requirements and ensure testing aligns with them.
Plan and execute component, assembly, and product tests.
Define product test plans, acceptance criteria, and testing standards.
Maintain and update testing procedures and documentation.
Collaborate on planning and maintaining test environments.
Coordinate test execution with application and program teams.
Track estimated vs. actual completion times for assigned tasks.
Create and manage test models, data, and scripts.
Conduct structured walk-throughs and inspections.
Provide accurate and timely status updates.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of software testing experience in an Agile environment.
3+ years of iOS mobile application testing experience.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
