General Placement Service is recruiting on behalf of an A+ Rated, long-standing insurance carrier with a national reach. They seek to hire a Production Underwriter to manage an agency plant and grow a profitable book of business within your territory.
The products are all mid-market commercial with a focus on casualty lines.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain relationships with independent agencies and Producers
- Build and grow a profitable book of business through risk evaluation, pricing and negotiation
- Underwrite all new business throughout the territory
- This is a remote position and the territory will be determined by your location
To be qualified, you must have:- Knowledge of your regional insurance market – including agency relationships
- Bachelor’s degree and industry designations are preferred
