Job Summary :
Jacobs Realtors is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mortgage Loan Officer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for originating and closing mortgage loans for clients, building a strong pipeline of business, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong sales background, a deep understanding of mortgage products, and the ability to guide clients through the entire loan application process from start to finish.
Responsibilities :
Business Development:
Develop and maintain a strong network of real estate professionals, builders, and other referral sources.
Proactively generate leads and cultivate new client relationships.
Market and sell a variety of mortgage loan products to potential borrowers.
Client Consultation:
Conduct in-depth consultations with prospective borrowers to understand their financial needs and goals.
Analyze credit reports, financial statements, and other documents to pre-qualify borrowers.
Educate clients on various loan programs (e.g., conventional, FHA, VA) and recommend the most suitable options.
Loan Processing:
Complete and submit accurate and complete loan applications.
Work closely with the loan processor and underwriter to ensure timely and efficient processing of all loan files.
Manage a pipeline of loans and provide regular status updates to clients and real estate agents.
Compliance and Knowledge:
Ensure all loan activities are in strict compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
Stay current with changes in mortgage lending laws, interest rates, and industry trends.
Maintain an active National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) license.
Customer Service:
Provide outstanding customer service throughout the entire loan process.
Address and resolve client questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
Ensure a smooth and seamless closing experience for all parties involved.
Qualifications :
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and origination targets.
Existing relationships with real estate agents or other referral sources are a plus.
Skills:
Active NMLS license is required.
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
Proficiency with loan origination software (LOS) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage a pipeline of loans simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. A college degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
