Mortgage Consultant
Location Fort Worth, TX 76109 | Hybrid (Onsite Tues–Thurs, Remote Mon & Fri)
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $22–25/hr
• Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
• 3-month contract
ROLE IMPACT
As a Mortgage Consultant, you will be the frontline advisor helping clients navigate home financing options tailored to their needs. This role is pivotal in generating mortgage solutions through consultations, credit analysis, and collaboration with field staff. Your success ensures a streamlined mortgage process, client satisfaction, and compliance with lending standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Respond to mortgage referrals and conduct client consultations via phone or video
• Pre-qualify applicants and generate price quotes per investor guidelines
• Analyze credit reports, calculate debt-to-income and loan-to-value ratios
• Run automated underwriting systems and input borrower data into processing software
• Collect and review financial documents (e.g., tax returns, bank statements, pay stubs)
• Order appraisals, title work, and insurance documentation
• Provide regular updates to clients and advisors throughout loan processing
• Support refinance opportunities and perform monthly/quarterly reporting
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 1+ year of front-end mortgage experience
• High school diploma required
• Weekend availability as needed
• Experience with VA or Conventional loans

• Paperless loan processing systems
• Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS)
• Credit and compliance platforms
