Job Description

SUMMARY

Cranmore Mountain Resort is currently seeking friendly and energetic applicants that will provide both a memorable guest experience and exceptional guest service by monitoring lifts/lift lines and by ensuring all lift safety procedures are followed. Assists guests in getting on and off of chair lifts by operating ski lift including inspection and testing before opening, and able to stand on snowy surfaces for several hours in inclement weather. Both full and part-time shifts are available. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure all mechanical components are functioning properly by carrying out daily department procedures.
  • Carry out lift start up procedures by including return check, drive check, line check, stops, speed controls, indicator lights, switches, oil pressure, breaks, etc.
  • Ensure guests get themselves and their gear on lift safely by loading chairs and explaining procedures to inexperienced lift riders.
  • Aids guests getting off the lift by watching guests exit the lift and give assistance to those who need it.
  • Monitors the operation of the lift continually, corrects problems by notifying supervisor or lift maintenance of problems or unsafe conditions.
  • Picks up dropped skis, poles, clothing or other belongings for guests and returns them to the owner or takes items to lost and found.
  • Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) by following Resort Guidelines while interacting with guests.
  • Respond to all guests and employees in a courteous, efficient manner.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Flexible working hours. Weekends and holidays are included. Some job sharing may be required.
