Job Description

Description Lab Tech is responsible for handling all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner, reviewing specimen packages for complete information, and routing/delivering specimens to the appropriate destination within the lab. Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner - specimens include: blood, saliva, urine, stool, etc. Review specimen package for complete information and routing/delivering specimens to the appropriate destination within the lab. Scan in/manually enter in the specimen & patient information into LabCorp's internal system, Touch. Sort the samples into specific bins based on category and/or lab code (codes are built out by LabCorp based on sample type and/or assay type). Maintaining an inclusive environment through persistent self-reflection. Building a culture of care, engagement, and recognition with clear outcomes. Strong work ethic with drive/motivation to hit performance metrics/numbers. Strong data entry and organizational skills. Coachable and ability to take and initiate feedback well. High level of attention to detail. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Positive, hardworking, takes initiative, and works well with others. Proven reliability and positive attendance. Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
