Full-Time Companion/Caregiver/CNA for Private Household Ocean Ridge, FL (with Travel) Location: Primary home in Ocean Ridge, FL | Travel to Chicago, IL & Northern Wisconsin during the summer months Compensation: $110,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience + full benefits package About the Role We are seeking a kind, sensible, and professional Companion/Caregiver to provide respectful and considerate support to a lovely and intelligent matriarch in her private residences. The role is ideal for someone with deep empathy, high integrity, and a calm, confident demeanor. This is a long-term opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of someone who values privacy, peace, and excellent care. You'll join a well-established household team that includes a Houseman, additional Caregiver, rotating night nurses, and weekly Housekeepers at each location. The position requires travel to the family's seasonal homes in Chicago and Northern Wisconsin. Key Responsibilities Companion Care & Support: Provide companionship and gentle support throughout the day Assist with personal care including light dressing support and shower monitoring Drive and accompany principal to social events, medical appointments, and errands Meticulously manage medication schedules and coordinate with medical providers Use sound judgement to minimize risk Weekly reporting to family members; immediate updates for urgent concerns Household Coordination & Oversight: Schedule rotating nurses, coordinate with other caregivers, and manage appointments Handle light administrative tasks and liaise with vendors and service providers Supervise household repairs and help with general upkeep on non-housekeeper days Assist with packing, unpacking, and travel preparation General Household Duties: Light housekeeping and laundry Simple, light meal preparation, serving, and cleanup Occasional pet care for two small dogs Handle messages, deliveries, and errands in a courteous and professional manner Who You Are Warm, mature, and emotionally intelligent with a nurturing nature A private home professional who understands discretion and boundaries Strong preference for an experienced CNA Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure A team player who communicates well and supports the broader household staff Flexible and dependable, with a genuine desire to help Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication COVID-19 vaccinated (or valid medical/religious exemption) CPR and First Aid certified Able to lift up to 30 lbs. and pass a post-offer physical Valid driver's license and a safe driver (insurable) Legal to work in the U.S. Work Environment & Culture This is a quiet, peaceful household where staff are respectful, professional, and deeply valued. The principal is thoughtful and gracious, with a warm sense of humor and a preference for order, consistency, and gentle companionship. Schedule Generally, Monday to Friday. We expect this to be about a 60-hour work week, 8:00 am 8:00 pm with some flexibility. Compensation & Benefits Annual base salary of $110,000 to $130,000, depending on experience.
