Director of Training - McDonald’s Organization

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee leadership training and development for all restaurants, including Shift Managers, Department Managers, and General Managers.
  • Conduct monthly classes to include SMX, LT, Department/System, and SERV Safe classes , as well as specialized training as needed.
  • Partner with Supervisors and GMs to identify, train, and develop future leaders within each restaurant.
  • Follow up on progress of all leadership trainees and provide direct coaching and support.
  • Ensure all new and current GMs meet required corporate training standards, including HU graduation.
  • Oversee deployment and training of all new initiatives and ensure successful execution in every restaurant.
  • Lead communication and scheduling for all training webcasts and other system-wide learning events.
  • Conduct regular in-store execution visits and people development check-ins, providing written recaps and holding GMs and Supervisors accountable for follow-up.
  • Maintain and present a monthly succession planning report to the leadership team.
  • Attend and actively participate in Supervisor and GM meetings, contributing to company-wide initiatives and training discussions.
  • Ensure every restaurant and leader meets McDonald’s People Brand Standards , promoting integrity, professionalism, and excellence in every interaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership and training experience (preferably in multi-unit restaurant or QSR management).
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to coach and develop leaders at every level - from Crew to General Manager.
  • Strong understanding of McDonald’s training systems, deployment processes, and operational standards preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (frequent travel between restaurants required).
  • Passion for people development and leading by example.
