Job Summary: The Delivery Captain is responsible for ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient grocery deliveries from the warehouse to various retail shops. This role involves coordinating delivery boys, managing van loading, overseeing route operations, verifying order accuracy, handling payment collections, and maintaining delivery records through the delivery application. Key Responsibilities: ● Supervise daily grocery delivery operations in coordination with delivery boys. ● Assign delivery routes and shops to each delivery boy as per the schedule ● Check and verify all orders before loading them into the delivery van. ● Ensure orders are properly arranged and ready for timely dispatch. ● Accompany the delivery van and oversee correct deliveries at each stop. ● Use the delivery application to update order status, payments, and delivery completion. ● Collect payments (cash or digital) from delivery boys after each route. ● Reconcile all payments, receipts, and delivery data at the end of the day. ● Report any delivery issues, shortages, or customer feedback to the supervisor. ● Maintain delivery documentation and submit reports daily. ● Ensure delivery boys follow company policies, safety standards, and proper handling of goods.
