ASI Commercial Roofing & Maintenance is central Ohio’s premier employee-owned roofing company. Whether you are looking for a new career, or a seasoned trade professional, we want to meet you! We are growing rapidly, and looking for full-time, year round Service Technicians to join our team. The roofers replace, repair, and install the roofs of buildings, using a variety of materials, including shingles, bitumen, and metal.

Hours / Schedule: M-Th 7am-4pm & Fri 7am-11am

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install shingles, asphalt, metal, or other materials to make the roof weatherproof.
• Measure roofs to calculate the quantities of materials needed.
• Replace damaged or rotting joists or plywood.
• Install vapor barriers or layers of insulation.
• Spray treatment chemicals on roofs and buildings to seal them from water and weather
• Align roofing materials with edges of the roof
• Cut roofing materials to fit around walls or vents
• Cover exposed nail or screw heads with roofing cement or caulk to prevent leakage
• Use hand tools such as hammers, electric staplers, and electric spraying tools
• Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

For immediate consideration, you must:

• Be able to safely ascend/descend a ladder frequently, up to 40 feet
• Be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Want to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions
• Have reliable transportation
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school education or GED
• 1+ years of commercial roofing experience (preferred)
• Construction safety certification such as OSHA training is a plus
• Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending, and lifting heavy loads
• Previous experience in roofing, construction, or related scope of work
• Communication and teamwork skills including an openness to receiving feedback from superiors
• General knowledge of roofing procedures, techniques, and specialties
• Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work
• Ability to read and follow instructions from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams
