Position Title & Code: Chief Information Officer / Chief Technology Officer (CIO / CTO)

Location: NYC, NY 10007

Project End Date: 1 Year + extension.

Description:

• Advanced degree in a technology-related field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology
• Extensive experience in tech leadership, software development, and scaling tech organizations.
• Deep knowledge of architecture, infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong strategic planning, financial management, and leadership abilities.
• Expertise in cybersecurity, compliance, and data governance.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
• Experience in vendor management and technology partnerships
• Proven experience in talent acquisition and development
• Greater consideration will be provided to candidates who have at least ten (10) years experience providing services of a similar size and scope at an executive level of supervision.

Tasks and Standards

• The position is expected to be a hybrid CTO and CIO (Chief Information Officer)
• CTO: Often focuses on external-facing technology, product innovation, and customer-facing platforms.
• CIO: Typically focuses on internal IT operations, systems, and ensuring employees have the tools to work efficiently.
• The successful candidate will be expected to successfully perform the following functions, which will be evaluated based on the metrics below:
  1. Developing and implementing a technology strategy that aligns with the DSS s business goals, objectives and budget.
  2. Leading and managing technology teams to ensure projects meet business needs and deadlines are met and are within budget.
  3. Ensuring cybersecurity measures are in place and managing technology-related risks within DSS.
  4. Managing vendor relationships and establishing technology partnerships to support DSS s technological needs.
  5. Attracting skilled technology professionals and fostering their growth, including converting consultant lines into permanent positions.
