Summary

The Child Care Access and Quality Manager will be responsible for leading a team focused on expanding the availability of licensed child care and improving the quality of existing licensed child care. The position will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of Washington’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (Early Achievers), serving as the Early Achievers Regional Coordinator for the Olympic Peninsula Region. Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMHC) and efforts to support existing and add new child care licensees will be overseen by the Access and Quality Manager.

Duties

Manage operations in designated programs including budget development and monitoring, staffing and contract compliance.
Serve as the agency representative at local, regional and stat meetings.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that comply with specific program requirements and performance standards.
Hire, supervise, train and evaluate staff.
Provide oversight and support, outreach, recruitment and enrollment with the goal of increasing and expanding the child care industry.
Coordinate technical assistance, onsite support and other resources to assist regional licensed child care providers to move through the Early Achievers.
Provide oversight and support to Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultants (IECMHC).
Supervise a team, organize work, oversee operations and provide relationship based professional development
Play a leadership role at CCAC, regionally and with local and state partners on child care issues.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a field related to Early Childhood Education.
Three years of experience providing direct service and/or coordinating a program serving children 0-8 years of age.
Experience supervising staff.
Ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders and external partner organizations.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and assume responsibility for task completion.
Demonstrated effective verbal communication and writing skills.
